The Elizabeth Police Department’s Narcotics Unit is comprised of a proactive group of officers that specialize in combating illegal drug distribution. The Narcotics Unit conducts independent and inter-agency investigations with personnel assigned to specialty agencies, such as the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). The Narcotics Unit uses information received from citizens, Crime Stoppers, and other intelligence gathering techniques to conduct both small and large-scale investigations. Members of the Narcotics Unit identify, investigate and ultimately apprehend individuals who are involved in the distribution of Controlled Dangerous Substances within our city streets.
