Analysis to Impediments
The City of Elizabeth, New Jersey is classified as an entitlement jurisdiction by the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) and is beginning its Consolidated Plan five-year planning cycle. It is soliciting proposals to conduct an Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI) in the public and private sector to reflect the current fair housing situation in Elizabeth. The Consolidated Plan regulations (24 CFR 91) require that each entitlement jurisdiction submit a certification that it is affirmatively furthering fair housing. This means that it will (1) conduct an analysis of impediments to fair housing choice; (2) take appropriate actions to overcome the effects of impediments identified through that analysis; (3) maintain records reflecting the analysis and actions; and (4) update the AI annually.
Deadline for submittal is 3:00 PM,
