MAYOR BOLLWAGE & PARTNERS CUT A RIBBON ON THE NEW HOME FOR FED-EX

ELIZABETH, NJ—March 14, 2012— On Tuesday, March 20, 2012, Mayor J. Christian Bollwage will join Jay Cornforth and Bo Farkas from Prologis, as well as Anne Evans Estabrook and Dave Gibbons from Portview Properties, as they cut the ribbon on the new 152,230 square foot home to FedEx.

“The opening of the new FedEx facility at the Portview Commerce Center is great for Elizabeth and the surrounding areas,” said Mayor J. Christian Bollwage.  “I would like to thank our many partners, as this collaboration reflects their commitment to strengthening economic development by turning a previous industrial site into a new state-of-the-art building. We look forward to its opening.”

Working together to transform a 19-acre site off of the New Jersey Turnpike, 13-A, AMB and Portview Properties LLC began with an overall plan that would help utilize and become responsive to the surrounding communities and most importantly the nearby Newark Liberty International Airport.

AMB Property Corporation, a leading industrial Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT), owns and develops properties and facilities worldwide.

Prologis is the leading owner, operator and developer of industrial real estate, who focuses on global and regional markets across the world. As one of their Top Ten Global Customers, Prologis has 2.5 million square feet with FedEx already throughout three continents.

Thoughtful planning, sustainable design features and prime location have made AMB Portview Commerce Center an immediate success. Building 1 attracted its first tenant prior to its completion and is now nearly 70% leased.

Scheduled to open in May 2012, the Portview Commerce Center will be one-hundred percent used by FedEx.
