COUNCILMAN-AT-LARGE MANNY GROVA, JR. COLLABORATES WITH E’PORT PRES IN BOOK DONATION

ELIZABETH, NJ—September 11, 2015— On Thursday, September 17, 2015, Mayor J. Christian Bollwage will join Councilman-At-Large Manny Grova, Jr. for a donation of fifty (50) children's Smart-books to the E'Port Presbyterian Center Preschool. The materials will be presented in support of the “Adopt-A-Program to Read" campaign event, which will be hosted by Promiseland Global Kids (PGK), who provides quality educational products and entertainment.

“Education is one of our key initiatives in Elizabeth and there is always a need for more books," said Mayor J. Christian Bollwage. "Introducing reading at a young age inspires children and provides a strong foundation to obtain new information, expand knowledge and broaden horizons. I would like to thank Councilman Grova as well as the E’Port Pres for continuing to give back to the community.”

Promiseland Global Kids (PGK) was founded in 2006 by Law Cunningham and a team of talented and caring individuals specializing in music, media and early childhood development. The company, which supports “strengthening our community through edu-tainment," shared a vision to create groundbreaking children’s edu-tainment content. Their mission is to find corporate, small business owners or City Officials, who will sponsor the purchase of the audio Smart-book for donation to a pre-school, daycare, after school program, youth organization, library or more.

“We pride ourselves on our ability to successfully assimilate Core-Curriculum requirements in math, grammar, history and languages, into our educational platform,” said CEO Law Cunningham. “In addition to academic skills, our learning modules encourage children to explore their creative talents.”

The September 17th event will be the first program to kick-start the Adopt-A-Program to Read campaign. It will feature a reading of one of the books by Councilman Grova and PG the Kangaroo will perform one of the songs off the audio CD.

The donated Promiseland Park Smart-books are designed to supplement and enhance a child's learning experience.  They utilize a combination of cutting edge music production, songwriting, story lines, imaginary characters and learning exercises to provide a well-rounded learning experience. Complete with 12 learning modules, supporting songs and exercises, the audio Smart-book can be used as a change of pace or means of enhancing the learning experience in the classroom or at home. An audio CD is included on the back page of every audio Smart-Book.

“This is an important and significant donation, and I am grateful to collaborate with E’Port Pres and PKG on this effort,” said Councilman-At-Large Manny Grova. “Our focus must be on the next generation. It is our job to prepare our children for the challenges that the future may bring. These books will go a long way toward helping children of Elizabeth begin their journey on the road to success.”
