PSE&G Opens a new Customer Service Center in Elizabeth
Provides a convenient place for area residents to get one-on-one help

(ELIZABETH, NJ) Officials celebrated today the opening of the new PSE&G Customer Service Center in Elizabeth, which provides area residents with a convenient way to pay their electric and gas bills and get one-on-one assistance from the utility. PSE&G is the only energy utility in the state offering personal service through community based walk-in centers.

“More than a million people come through our customer service centers every year, and we’re pleased to provide the face-to-face attention they prefer,” said Domnick Facchini, leader of PSE&G’s customer operations. “I’m excited about the opening of our newest location in Elizabeth. I hope that area residents will stop in and check it out.”

The new walk-in facility, which officially opened its doors late last month, gives PSE&G customers an opportunity to pay their energy bills in-person and to get information on payment assistance and utility programs and services. It is located at 550 North Broad Street and is open weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. It is one of 16 Customer Service Centers PSE&G maintains across the State.
"We are excited to have a new PSE&G Customer Service Center in the City of Elizabeth assisting residents with their needs," said Mayor Chris Bollwage. "PSE&G has always been a great community partner and this Center shows that they are committed to improving services throughout our City."

“New Jersey’s ratepayers need easily accessible customer assistance to ensure that they in fact have safe, adequate, and proper utility services,” said Jeanne M. Fox, President of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. “In creating this new walk-in customer service center, PSE&G is taking a hands-on approach aimed at better serving the residents of Elizabeth.”

Prior to the opening of this new facility, PSE&G housed a temporary Customer Service Center within its electric division offices on West Grand Street. Since payments weren’t accepted at that location, the utility waived the $1 fee associated with making PSE&G payments at area Western Union locations. With the opening of the new Center on North Broad Street, the old location will be closed to customers and the Western Union fee will no longer be waived.

“For more than a century, we’ve been a constant presence in the communities we serve. It is no different today,” Facchini said. “This new facility in Elizabeth is proof of our commitment to providing our customers service and value.”

Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) is New Jersey’s oldest and largest regulated gas and electric delivery utility, serving nearly three-quarters of the state’s population. PSE&G is the winner of the ReliabilityOne National Achievement Award for superior electric system reliability. PSE&G is a subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (PSEG) (NYSE:PEG), a diversified energy company (www.pseg.com).
