ELIZABETH, NJ, December 6, 2006 -- Mayor Bollwage announces that the City of Elizabeth’s new website has received the Gold Award in the MarCom Creative Awards 2006 Competition. The award is presented annually to organizations that exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.

“The City of Elizabeth is pleased and excited to have been chosen to receive MarCom’s Creative Gold Award,” said Mayor Chris Bollwage. “Through enhanced technology, new features, and community photo galleries, we are able to provide the most efficient and effective information to our residents and visitors through our website.”

The City of Elizabeth’s redesigned web site, www.elizabethnj.org, was launched in September of this year. Through the site visitors can find phone numbers to various City departments, demographic info, and event photos as well as guides to business and shopping opportunities, useful links and much more. Later this month the award winning website will become bilingual, offering the information in Spanish.
