Historic Midtown Elizabeth Hike

Presented by The Snyder Academy of Elizabethtown and Boxwood Hall - Walk through four centuries of history and discover the remarkable story of colonial Elizabethtown. The Historic Midtown Elizabeth Hike is a 1.5 mile long trail that features many historic sites in Elizabeth, NJ. The hike includes Boxwood Hall, the Belcher Ogden Mansion and the Nathaniel Bonnel House. The two-hour walk starts at the First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth, 42 Broad Street. The hike will conclude with a tour of the First Presbyterian Church and its historic cemetery, the site where the colony of New Jersey was founded in 1664.
