Bank of America refurbishes banking center in Elizabeth, N.J.
Mayor Joins Company Executives To Present $20,000 Grant to Brand New Day to Mark Occasion
ELIZABETH, N.J. – Consumers in Elizabeth will enjoy the next generation of banking when Bank of America unveils its refurbished banking center located at 288 North Broad Street. The banking center now features Bank of America’s new store design and will offer customers exceptional service, access, and convenience. A grand re-opening celebration is planned for Thursday, August 10 beginning at 3:00 p.m.
During that ceremony, Bank of America will present executives from Brand New Day with a $20,000 grant to support its efforts to assist low- and moderate-income families in Elizabethport and the surrounding areas achieve homeownership through financial literacy training, credit counseling and homebuyer education.
“At Bank of America, we believe it is important to support the communities we serve,” said Anna K. Harris, consumer market executive, Bank of America. “That’s why we’re pleased to present Brand New Day with this grant as we re-open the doors to our new and improved banking center. We hope our customers enjoy this refurbished facility and we thank the Elizabeth community for always welcoming us with open arms.”
Elizabeth Mayor Chris Bollwage joined Bank of America for the grand re-opening.
"Bank of America has been a great community partner in the City of Elizabeth," said Bollwage. "With their help, non-profit organizations like Brand New Day have been able to turn dreams of homeownership into reality. We are grateful to Bank of America for their commitment to helping improve our City and the lives our residents."
The banking center is conveniently located at the cross streets of Broad Street and Westfield Avenue. The office has 5,322 square feet of space and features teller stations, four personal bankers, one quick service station and one online banking station. The exterior also includes a walk-up ATM, a drive-up ATM and a night depository.
Bank of America Refurbishes Elizabeth Banking Center
The banking center -- which looks and feels more like a retail establishment than a bank -- follows the design standard for all new Bank of America banking centers. Its open floor plan includes a section where customers can relax in a sitting area that features periodicals, financial planning resources and a television.
Upon entering the bank, customers are greeted at the door by a host who determines their needs. They are then guided to the teller line or one of several innovative technology stations that offer such features as a multilingual telephone banking phone and web-based computer terminals providing access to account information and other products and services.
The banking center is designed to be efficient, functional and more accessible, with plenty of room for parking. Its hours are Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A drive-up is available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Customers will be able to access their accounts online, by phone, or through a network of more than 16,700 ATMs across the country.
